Thank you for joining DIY Designer Forum, the online community for home builders, renovators and those learning to redecorate their homes. DIY Designer Forum is the DIY Designer community site designed to provide an online design tutoring, discussion and chat site with the aim of assisting you create a great outcome for your project.

To become a DIY Designer community member, you will be provided with a login and password. You will need these details to login to your online design course and also to take part in any group, tutoring session or forum.

By becoming a member and using our community site, you agree to adhere to the following terms:

You agree to be respectful of others’ ideas and opinions. You will not use any expression of racism, bigotry, obscenity or profanity.

You agree to refrain from posting any obscene, profane or inappropriate photos, videos, layouts, or message board posts. Any questionable material may be removed without warning.

DIY Designer reserves the right to delete any images, messages or topics at any time.

DIY Designer reserves the right to ban members who violate these standards.

For your own protection, first names and member number are the standard identity on the site and we ask that you do not share your personal information (e-mail address, phone number, home address, etc.) with others on the site.

When posting your own work on the website such as Finishes Boards, images of your project etc, you agree that: (i) you own the content posted by you on or through the website or otherwise have the right to grant the license set forth in this section, and (ii) the posting of your content on or through the website does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contract rights or any other rights of any person. You agree to pay for all royalties, fees, and any other monies owing any person by reason of any content posted by you to or through the website.

By using our community site, you agree to provide accurate, current and complete information. We value your participation and ask you to please help us maintain a friendly, safe, informative and positive environment.

You agree that any suggestions made by any DIY Designer tutor regarding your project or that of anyone else using the site are suggestions, and the decision to proceed with those suggestions is taken by you at your own free will.

You agree that any outcomes for any project design undertaken in DIY Designer are solely your responsibility and that no action will be taken against DIY Designer or any of its staff members.

Please note that comments, blog posts and images you post are considered available for public consumption and that others may quote your remarks.

Please note that the opinions expressed on the DIY Designer Forum community pages are the opinions of the members, not DIY Designer. DIY Designer does not endorse, nor shall be held responsible for advice, opinions, member-generated content, or statements made in the community forum.

The following Terms of Service apply to your use of this Site. You are solely responsible for your conduct and your content on the Site and compliance with these terms. By registering with us or using or browsing this Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. This Site is not directed to children younger than 13 and is offered only to users 13 years of age or older. Any person who provides their personal information through this Site represents that they are 13 years of age or older.

in a manner that is libellous or defamatory, or in a way that is otherwise threatening, abusive, violent, harassing, malicious or harmful to any person or entity, or invasive of another’s privacy;

in a manner that is hateful or discriminatory based on race, colour, sex, religion, nationality, ethnic or national origin, marital status, disability, sexual orientation or age or is otherwise objectionable;

Additionally, you agree not to:

Collect, use or disclose data, including personal information, about other users without their consent or for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable law or regulations;

Request, solicit or otherwise obtain access to usernames, passwords or other authentication credentials from any member of this Site or to proxy authentication credentials for any member of this Site for the purposes of automating logins to this Site;

Post any content containing child pornography to this Site;

Post any content that depicts or contains rape, extreme violence, murder, bestiality, incest, or other similar content;

Post any content that constitutes pornography, contains nudity, or is adult in nature.

Use automated means, including spiders, robots, crawlers, data mining tools, or the like to download data from this Site – except for Internet search engines (e.g. Google) and non-commercial public archives (e.g. archive.org) that comply with our robots.txt file.
